A new update for Game Access is now available on a Regata OS near to you. Among the new features is support for Amazon Games, allowing players to quickly and easily access their Amazon Prime Gaming games.
The integration with Amazon Games works in a similar way to that of the Epic Games Store, with the player being able to choose between installing the application, so that they can manage the games through the official launcher, or, if they prefer, they can choose to access the game library directly from Game Access, where you can also download and play the titles.
In addition to being able to install and run the titles, as mentioned previously, it is also possible to import previously installed games or choose a location other than the default (Game Access folder in the user's home folder) to install the games.
Improvements "under the hood"
The compatibility layer used by Game Access to run games and launchers has also received a major update. Now, the solution arrives with code based on Proton 9.0, which allows better support for more games, including The Finals, Dinogen Online and The Lord of the Rings: Gollum.
There are also improvements for the games Far Cry 4, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition, Imperiums: Greek Wars, Doom Eternal and Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, among others. Additionally, DXVK and VKD3D-Proton (Vulkan-based translation layers for Direct3D 9/10/11 and Direct3D 12, respectively), as well as DXVK-NVAPI, have been updated to the latest version.
Among other changes, the Epic Games Store login in Game Access has been corrected so that the library of games available in the logged in account can load correctly and the initialization of games and launchers on laptops with an NVIDIA GPU has been corrected.
Last but not least, a workaround for launching the Ubisoft Connect app on machines with an NVIDIA graphics card has been added.
