AMD FSR comes to Regata OS Game Access to boost gaming

We're excited to announce that AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR), AMD's upscaling technology, is now available in Regata OS Game Access to help boost game frame rates on entry-level hardware as well as deliver gaming experiences. high quality, high resolution, without having to upgrade to a new graphics card. The technology is available for hardware that supports the Vulkan graphics API.

AMD FSR can be enabled in Game Access settings and works in almost any game, even if the developer didn't build the game with official support for the feature. If you are detected using Radeon Vega graphics as your primary GPU — that is, if you are without a dedicated graphics card and are using, for example, an AMD Ryzen 3 2200g processor with your Vega 8 graphics — the feature will be enabled by default.

Since AMD FSR is an upscaler, you need to set your in-game resolution lower than your monitor resolution. For example, if you want to see FSR in action on your 1080p monitor, set your in-game resolution to 720p (1280 x 720). If you have a 4K monitor, set your in-game resolution to 1440p (2560 x 1440).

We hope to rely on feedback from gamers running their favorite titles with Regata OS Game Access to further enhance this support for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution. Stay tuned for more performance testing videos with AMD FSR on Regata OS.
