With Proton Experimental, it is now possible to run DEATHLOOP on Linux

Experimental Proton won last Friday (17) another new update that brings as main highlight the support for the recently released DEATHLOOP. The game was developed by Arkane Lyon and published by Bethesda Softworks. Despite being a first-person shooter, the title's gameplay also mixes action and adventure elements.

If you're wondering what Proton Experimental is all about, it's the special trial version of Proton that brings some of the latest features still considered experimental, as well as fixes for the compatibility layer that allows Linux players to run Windows games on Linux more easily via Steam Play.

Among other changes, we can mention the fact that now WRC 9 and F1 2021 games are also listed as playable and there are fixes for Life is Strange: True Colors and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous titles, there are compatibility improvements with the versions of DLSS shipped with some games, and support for the latest Steamworks SDK has been added.
